The investigation into the death of Anna Bellisario, a 21-year-old woman who died after eating a vegan tiramisu in a Milan restaurant, is still ongoing.  The dessert was a ready-made item that had already been recalled from 63 restaurants throughout Italy, according to the Italian Ministry of Health.

The manager of the Flower Burger restaurant, as well as representatives from a company that supplied the eatery with vegan items containing eggs, such as mayonnaise and mustard. Three more people have been suspected.  The “Glg” company, which produced the dessert that was vegan but according to findings, contained traces of milk protein, has two representatives and two employees who are pleading not guilty to manslaughter, fraud in the course of business, and sale of fake goods.
