Authorities in Singapore have halted operations of a food business after it was connected to nearly 90 illnesses. Between May 17 and May 29, 89 individuals reported experiencing gastroenteritis as a result of eating food prepared by Nosh Cuisine Pte. Six patients were admitted to the hospital. They have been recorded at MindChamps preschools in Bishan, Changi Airport, and Tanglin. In total, 79 kids and 10 employees are ill.
Three outbreaks are being investigated by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the Ministry of Health (MOH), and the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).
The company is obligated to remove all ready-to-eat food and perishable items from the premises, and clean and sanitize the area. All food handlers employed by the establishment must successfully complete food safety training and pass a test for foodborne pathogens. Before returning to their position, the site’s designated food hygiene officer must enroll in and successfully complete an advanced food safety course.
