Tahina Recalled Due to Salmonella Contamination

A batch of Alameddine Tahina (400g) is being recalled due to contamination with Salmonella Muenster. This product, originating from Lebanon, has been found to pose a serious health risk.

  • Affected Batch: Best Before 13/04/2025
  • Reason for Recall: Presence of Salmonella Muenster

Food Safety Hazard:
Salmonella infection can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, headache, and abdominal cramps. In more severe cases, especially in the elderly, infants, or immunocompromised individuals, the illness may require hospitalization.

What to Do:

  • Retailers: Immediately remove the affected batch from shelves and display recall notices at the point of sale.
  • Consumers: Do NOT consume the product from the affected batch. If you have purchased it, return it to the store for a refund. Those concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
