Health Risk Information

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause serious health issues, particularly for vulnerable groups such as young children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems. In these groups, Listeria can lead to severe infections and, in extreme cases, even death.

What Should You Do?

  • Do Not Consume: If you have purchased the affected Chicken Street Taco Meal Kit, do not consume it.
  • Dispose or Return: The FDA urges customers to either dispose of the product or return it to their local Sprouts Farmers Market store for a full refund.
  • Sanitize Surfaces: In addition, the FDA advises consumers to clean and sanitize any surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with the recalled products to avoid the risk of cross-contamination. Listeria monocytogenes can survive in refrigerated temperatures and easily spread to other foods and surfaces.
