Salm Partners, LLC, based in Denmark, WI, has issued a voluntary recall of approximately 35,430 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage due to potential contamination with foreign materials, specifically pieces of rubber. This recall is conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

  • Product Name: Johnsonville POLISH KIELBASA TURKEY sausage
  • Packaging: 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages containing a single piece
  • Best By Dates: “05/17/24” and “05/18/24” printed on the side of the packaging
  • Establishment Number: “P-32009” printed on the side of the packaging
  • Production Dates: October 30-31, 2023

The recall was initiated after receiving consumer complaints regarding the discovery of rubber pieces in the ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa products.

Potential Risk: Consumption of products contaminated with foreign materials, such as rubber, may pose a choking hazard or other potential adverse health effects.The recalled products were shipped to retail locations nationwide, raising concerns that some may be present in consumers’ refrigerators. As of the recall date, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injuries related to the consumption of these products. However, consumers are advised to remain vigilant.
