Dreamview Creamery Issues Recall for Raw Milk Due to Listeria Contamination

July 16, 2023 New Zealand

Dreamview Creamery Real, a raw drinking milk producer, is recalling specific batches of its raw milk due to potential contamination with listeria. The milk is sold through home deliveries in New Zealand.

Customers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to consume them and should return them to Dreamview Creamery Real for a full refund. Alternatively, heating the milk to a temperature of 70°C and holding it at that temperature for one minute is recommended before consumption.

Listeria infection can be particularly dangerous for vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, newborn babies, individuals with weakened immune systems, and the elderly. While no illnesses have been reported so far, New Zealand Food Safety urges anyone who has consumed the product and has concerns about their health to seek medical advice.
