Nature of Danger

Listeria monocytogenes infection can lead to flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal issues (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), and in severe cases, more serious complications. Vulnerable groups, such as pregnant women, newborns, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems, are at greater risk. The incubation period for symptoms can range from 3 to 70 days.

Actions Required

  • For Retailers: Remove the affected batches from sale immediately and display a recall notice at the point-of-sale.
  • For Wholesalers/Distributors: Inform your customers and instruct them to initiate a recall of the implicated products. Ensure retail customers are provided with a point-of-sale recall notice.
  • For Caterers: Do not use the implicated products.
  • For Consumers: Consumers are advised not to eat the affected batches and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Stay Safe

If you have consumed any of the affected products and feel unwell, particularly if you belong to a vulnerable group, it is advised to seek medical attention immediately.
