Effects of listeria monocytogenes infection:

Listeria monocytogenes-contaminated food may not appear or smell rotten, yet it can still make you sick. Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, a lingering fever, muscle aches, a strong headache, and stiffness in the neck. People with weakened immune systems, pregnant women, and the elderly are in increased danger. Even though pregnant women who are sick may only feel minor flu-like symptoms, the infection can cause early labor, infection in the baby, or even stillbirth. People may pass away in circumstances of extreme illness.

Consumers advice:

  • Contact your doctor if you believe consuming a recalled product made you sick.
  • See if you have any recalled goods.
  • Avoid using, serving, selling, or distributing recalled products.
  • Recalled goods ought to be discarded or brought back to the store where they were bought.
