Listeria monocytogenes-contaminated Gorgonzola cheese of the Igor brand has been recalled in the Canada.

Igor - Gorgonzola Cheese - 350 g - Front Igor - Gorgonzola Cheese - 350 g - Back

Gorgonzola cheese has been withdrawn from the market owing to probable Listeria contamination. The recalled product has been distributed in Ontario and Quebec.

Listeria monocytogenes:

Pregnant women, the elderly and others with compromised immune systems are particularly at danger.  People may die in severe cases of illness. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.
