The recall, initially issued on October 16, 2024, now includes additional distribution and product information. The affected products may have been sold either sliced, chunked, or in smaller packages, some without labels. Consumers who are unsure whether they purchased the recalled product are advised to contact their retailer.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can lead to listeriosis, a potentially fatal infection in vulnerable populations such as the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include high fever, severe headache, muscle aches, nausea, diarrhea, and, in severe cases, death.
