The affected products, packaged in round clear plastic containers with clear lids and labels, have a 45-day shelf life when refrigerated. The recall applies to items distributed to retail stores in Oregon and Washington on 01/17/2024. The Best By Dates for the recalled products are as follows:
As of now, no illnesses or deaths related to these products have been reported.
The recall was initiated when it was discovered that the labels for Al Amir hummus declare tahini but fail to mention sesame, and the Tzatziki Cucumber Yogurt label declares sour cream and yogurt but omits mentioning milk. The recall is conducted in cooperation with the Oregon Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Consumers with sesame or milk allergies are strongly advised not to consume the recalled products and should either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
