Black poppy seed products supplied under the Davis Food Ingredients, Attitude Foods, Bin Inn, Essenté, Farm By Nature, Foodfirst, Fresh Line, Icelandic, and Wholesale Foods brands are being recalled due to improper direct-to-consumer sales. The product was solely meant to be offered as a raw component for making other foods.
Poppy seeds come in a variety of sizes and are available in plastic packages and bulk bins. They are offered at Gilmours Palmerston North. In New Zealand, a variety of ethnic supermarkets, produce markets, and retail establishments carry all remaining brands. The item has not been exported again.
