Nationwide Recall of Fresh Cut Cantaloupe Products Due to Salmonella Contamination

Fresh-cut cantaloupe products are being recalled nationwide in response to potential Salmonella contamination. Consumers are advised not to consume, sell, serve, or distribute the affected products.

Recalled Products:

  • Cantaloupe (Variable size, UPC: Contains 252270, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Cantaloupe Cubed Small (300 g, UPC: Contains 237100, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Cantaloupe Halves (600 g, UPC: Contains 255520, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Cantaloupe Slices (455 g, UPC: Contains 237108, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Cantaloupe Slices (Variable size, UPC: Contains 230097, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Cantaloupe Spears (730 g, UPC: Contains 242202, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Fruit Salad Large (750 g, UPC: Contains 250569, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Fruit Salad Small (440 g, UPC: Contains 250565, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Fruit Snack Tray (530 g, UPC: Contains 257853, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)
  • Fruit Spears (770 g, UPC: Contains 242203, Best before dates: 2023.OC24 up to and including 2023.NO11)

Consumer Advisory:

  • Contact your healthcare provider if you suspect illness from consuming the recalled products.
  • Check your homes for the recalled items and dispose of them immediately.
  • Do not use, serve, sell, or distribute the recalled products.
  • Recalled items can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.

Salmonella Symptoms and Risks: Salmonella-contaminated food may not exhibit obvious signs but can cause sickness. Individuals, especially young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems, may experience serious and sometimes fatal infections. Symptoms include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Long-term complications may involve severe arthritis.
