Food Safety Authority of Ireland recalled a batch of Schär Gluten Free Fibre Crispbread from the Irish market due to the presence of elevated levels of atropine and scopolamine as they may cause a risk to human health. Atropine and scopolamine are tropane alkaloids. These toxins, which are naturally occurring in some plants, can contaminate some cereals, due to their presence among the crop at harvest time.
Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.
