EGO Honey Dates Pose Health Risk with Elevated Levels of Sulphur Dioxide and undeclared allergens.

The EGO Honey Dates were found to contain amounts of sulphur dioxide, higher than the upper limit permitted by the Singapore Food Regulations, the concerned batch of the product is being recalled by Kee Wee Hup Kee Food Manufacture Pte Ltd.

Product Details:

People who are hypersensitive to sulphite may experience allergic reactions. The symptoms include Hives, itching, stomachache, diarrhea, and vomiting are among the symptoms.

To protect the public’s health, food products in Singapore that include substances known to induce hypersensitivity must be disclosed on food package labels. All prepackaged food ingredients should be listed on the product label in descending order of the weight ratio in which they are present.
