Truly Good Foods has announced a recall of its 3.25 oz Grabeez The Big Cheese Snack Mix due to the presence of undeclared almonds and cashews, posing a serious risk to individuals with nut allergies. The recall applies to snack cups marked with a “Best Before 04/16/25” date, sold at various retail locations in DC, FL, IL, MN, NC, SC, TN, and VA between August 23, 2024 and September 19, 2024.
The recall was initiated after a customer identified the wrong product packaging. Upon investigation, it was found that Healthy Trails Mix, which contains raisins, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and cashews, had mistakenly been packaged as Grabeez The Big Cheese Snack Mix.** Truly Good Foods identified a temporary issue in their packaging process that led to this mislabeling error.
The affected products were distributed to centers in FL, GA, MD, and TX and sold at retail stores across several states including DC, FL, IL, MN, NC, SC, TN, and VA.
Consumers with allergies or sensitivities to almonds and cashews could face a serious allergic reaction if they consume the mislabeled product. Fortunately, no illnesses have been reported as of the announcement date.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled snack cups are encouraged to dispose of them immediately.
