Allergy Alert on Undeclared Pecans in Boston Baking Mini Cinnamon Crumb Cakes.

Boston Baking is recalling its Boston Baking Mini Cinnamon Crumb Cakes due to the presence of undeclared pecans. It is available for sale only at Whole Foods Market locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and New York.  No illnesses or customer complaints associated with this issue have been reported.

A Whole Foods Market team member found that the pecan-containing product was sold in packaging that did not disclose pecans among its ingredients, leading to the start of the recall. A further examination revealed that a single mistake in the company’s production and packing procedures was the root of the issue.
