Albertson’s food company recalled Ready meals seafood due to undeclared allergens

Albertsons Companies announced that it is extending its voluntary recall scheduled for July 19, 2022. Due to allergies not disclosed on the ingredient labels, Ready Meals seafood foods are disclaimed. The recall was started after an internal technical evaluation discovered missing allergen-containing substances. It is being carried out in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The two specific Ready Meals fish products could be bought at the following Safeway and Albertsons locations in Oregon and a few places in Washington state (Battle Ground, Camas, Hazel Dell, Kelso, Longview, Vancouver, Walla Walla, Washougal, and Woodland).

Consumers advice:

Consumers with extreme sensitivities or specific food allergies risk the possibility of experiencing serious or fatal allergic reactions if they ingest these products, hence they are strongly advised against doing so.
