CIBUS Fresh, a food company based in Noblesville, Indiana, is recalling several of its products containing Glenview Farms Spreadable Brie due to the risk of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness. This recall was initiated following a notification from their supplier regarding the potential contamination.

The recalled products were distributed under the brands CIBUS Fresh, Jack & Olive, and Sprig & Sprout, and include Autumn Turkey Sandwiches sold in six states: Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Health Risks:

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in vulnerable groups, including young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. While healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms like high fever, nausea, and diarrhea, Listeria poses a significant risk to pregnant women, potentially leading to miscarriages or stillbirths.

Consumer Action:

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are advised to dispose of them immediately and avoid consumption. A full refund is available by returning the products to the place of purchase.
