Enoki King Mushroom Farm of Ventura, CA, is recalling lot 4877 of its 5.3-ounce packages of Enoki Mushrooms due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This bacterium can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Pregnant women are particularly at risk, as Listeria infection can lead to miscarriages or stillbirths.

Health Risk:
Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. However, those most vulnerable to infection may face severe illness. Although no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall, consumers should remain cautious.

  • If you have the Enoki Mushroom package with lot code 4877, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
