Reason for Recall: The affected products are being recalled from the marketplace due to various non-compliances related to caffeine content and labelling requirements. These non-compliances include exceeding the maximum allowable caffeine content of 180mg per single serving and not having bilingual labeling in either English and French. The absence of required cautionary statements on the labels could also impact consumers’ ability to make informed decisions.

Health Risks: Consuming excessive levels of caffeine can have adverse health effects, particularly for children, pregnant and breastfeeding individuals, and those who are sensitive to caffeine. Exercising while consuming caffeine may also lead to adverse health effects. Common side effects of excessive caffeine consumption include insomnia, irritability, headaches, and nervousness.

Consumers are advised not to consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled products. If you have purchased any of these products, it is recommended to return them to the place of purchase or dispose of them properly.

For further information or inquiries about this recall, consumers can contact the respective manufacturers of the recalled products or visit the official website of Health Canada for updates and additional guidance regarding food safety.
