Sss Enoki and K fresh mushrooms have been recalled in the USA due to the presence of Listeria.
Due to the possibility of Listeria monocytogenes contamination, Xin Ao International Group Corp of Linden, NJ, is recalling its packages of Sss Enoki Mushroom and K-Fresh Mushroom. The recall was discovered during the routine sampling by the Maryland Department of Health which found the presence of listeria on the product.
This bacterium can cause serious and sometimes deadly infections in young children, old people, and people with weaker immune systems. The symptoms include severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea, Listeria infection can result in miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
