1260 cases of frozen raspberries from James Farm were recalled by Exportadora Copramar because of the risk of hepatitis A contamination. Restaurant Depot/Jetro locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware are the only places where the product is sold.

The affected lots have been taken out of the outlets. Yet, there has been no illness associated with this product.

Hepatitis A:

The Hepatitis A virus can be acquired through various sources and causes contagious liver disease. From a little disease that lasts a few weeks to a major one that lasts several months. Health problems such as lethargy, abdominal pain, jaundice, abnormal liver tests, dark urine, and pale stools, typically appear 15 to 50 days after exposure. Hepatitis A infection can occasionally led to liver failure, especially in people with impaired immune systems or severe pre-existing illnesses.
