Veggie Cevapcici by Viana brand is recalled in Canada due to an undeclared Allergen- Almond

Viana: Veggie Cevapcici - 200 g      Viana: Veggie Cevapcici - 200 g

The Viana brand of Veggie Cevapcici has been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency because it contains almond, which is not specified on the label. The 200-gram containers of the impacted product, which Tofutown North America, Inc. marketed, had a best-before date of March 31, 2023. The plant-based protein was offered for sale in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and maybe elsewhere in the country. The CFIA test results led to the recall.
No illnesses have been linked to the product in any reports. Customers are instructed to either dispose of the cevapcici or bring it back to the place of purchase.

Consumer Advice:

  • See if you have any recalled goods.
  • Avoid consuming recalled goods if you have allergies or sensitivities to them because doing so could result in a serious or fatal reaction.
  • Avoid using, serving, selling, or distributing recalled products.
